Grass Seed

Professional turf seed, sold by the kilo. Bluegrass, ryegrass, fescue and bentgrass varieties bred for sod farms, sports fields and golf courses — read the page on any bag and it will tell you which. Not the mix with a picture of a lawn on the front.

Seeding or sodding? Seed is cheaper, gives you far more choice of variety, and takes a season to fill in. Sod is a finished lawn on the day it is laid. We do both, so we have no reason to talk you into either — see sod installation or seeding and overseeding.

Either way, seed is only half the job. New grass needs feeding to establish, and established grass needs feeding to stay thick enough to crowd weeds out on its own.
