We lead the project and do the turf work ourselves — grading, levels, soil, sod, seed and custom putting greens. For the hard landscaping, the patios, retaining walls, steps and decks, we bring in trades and manage them as part of the job. One quote, one schedule, one person to call.

How a project runs

Five stages, one point of contact the whole way through.

Consultation

We walk the property with you, listen to what you actually want out of the space, and tell you honestly what the ground will and will not allow.

Design

A plan you can look at before anyone digs. Layout, levels, materials, and what goes where — with the turf designed in from the start rather than added at the end.

Build

Hard landscaping first: patios, walls, steps, decks. We bring in the trades and manage them, so you are not chasing four companies for four sets of dates.

Turf

Then the part we are specialists in — grading, soil, and sod, seed or a green. It goes in last on purpose, so nothing gets driven over after it is down.

Handover

We walk it with you again and tell you what the new lawn needs through its first season, and when. A new lawn is at its most fragile in the first few weeks.

  • What we do ourselves

    Grading and levels, soil, drainage-aware shaping, sod, seed, lawn renovation and custom putting greens. This is the specialism, and it is the part of your yard you look at every day of the year. Fences too — pressure-treated, cedar and chain link, built by our own crew, and available on their own: fence installation.

  • What we bring in

    Patios, retaining walls, steps and decks go to trades we bring onto the job and manage ourselves. You get one quote and one schedule rather than four companies blaming each other for the delay.

  • Why that order matters

    Turf laid before the heavy work is finished gets driven over, compacted and killed. Planning the lawn from the start and installing it last is the difference between a lawn that establishes and one you replace in two years.

An old tree at the end of its life, beds along the fence that had gone feral, and grass that had stopped competing with either. The tree came out, the beds came out, the whole yard went back to bare soil and got re-graded before any sod arrived.

The cedar hedge and the fence are the only things in the finished photo that were there at the start.
