Fall cleanup: the yard put to bed
A fall cleanup is everything the yard needs before winter, done in one go: leaves off the lawn and out of the beds, perennials and grasses cut back, gutters and downspouts emptied, and all of it hauled away on our truck. That list is the same on every property, and it's the whole list — a cleanup doesn't include spraying or treatments, and we don't sell a package with extras hidden in it.
The reason to do the four together is spring. Beds left under wet leaves go into winter as a mat, gutters left full overflow onto the foundation and freeze, and both of those are what you'd be dealing with in April. Do it properly in the fall and the spring visit is a lighter one.
Booking: there is no cut-off. We book fall cleanups right through the season. Quotes are per property — lot size, number of beds, gutters, how many trees — and a big lot with early and late trees may be two visits.
Spring cleanup: built around your property, not a checklist
Spring is different, because every yard comes out of winter differently. So a spring cleanup is put together for the property rather than sold as a fixed list. It can include leaf and winter-debris cleanup, garden bed cleanup, pruning, overseeding of thin or damaged areas, gutter cleaning, and more — and which of those your yard needs is decided when we look at it, not before.
The overseeding is the part worth knowing about. Thin patches after winter are the moment to seed, and it's the same crew and the same seed we use on our seeding jobs, so a spring cleanup can quietly be the first step of a better lawn.

Why haul-away is the part that matters in Niagara
Every one of the five towns we work in is on Niagara Region's collection, and the rules are the same in all of them: leaf and yard waste is picked up weekly all year with no bag limit, but only in paper bags or certified-compostable ones, at the curb by 7 a.m. on your day. Tinted plastic "leaf" bags get left behind. Branches only go on the regular truck for four weeks in spring and four in fall, tied in bundles under 22.7 kg. Not one of the five towns runs a rake-to-the-curb pickup.
So the leaves are only half the job; getting rid of them is the other half. Our haul-away takes it off your hands entirely. Nothing is bagged at your curb, and nothing waits for collection day. The Region's rules are on its yard waste page if you want them in full.

Which towns do you do cleanups in?
St. Catharines, Thorold, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls and Jordan. Not Welland or Fonthill for cleanups, even though we do lawn work there — we'd rather say so here than after you've filled in a form.
Do you haul everything away?
Yes, on every cleanup, fall or spring. Nothing is bagged at your curb and nothing waits for the Region's truck.
Do you spray for weeds or apply anything during a cleanup?
A cleanup doesn't include spraying or treatments. If your lawn needs feeding, that's the fertilizer program, and it's a separate conversation.
Can I book a spring cleanup now?
You can get on the list now. Booking for spring 2027 opens in early February, and we come back to everyone on the list then to set a date.
